Fitness Classes

We designed the Active Chair class to help you maintain independence through healthy movement. The class is ideal for those looking for exercise compatible with chronic health challenges, prior injuries or limits to mobility or those who may find traditional exercise classes inaccessible.

Each session will help to improve mobility, muscle tone, flexibility, and endurance. The class has periods of exercise while seated and some periods standing.

During the class, participants use a chair as the primary exercise equipment. They can also use dumbbells, exercise bands, and balance pods.

Active Muscles Class offers a safe and enjoyable way for seniors to stay fit and engaged. We designed it to improve strength, flexibility, balance and overall mobility through low-impact but practical exercises targeting major muscle groups.

The class is ideal for 65+ people looking to minimize the effects of aging, maintain independence, and improve their quality of life. During the class, participants use dumbbells, exercise bands, balance pods and a yoga mat.

The emphasis of the class is building functional strength and balance, which helps in everyday activities like getting up from a chair, climbing stairs, and carrying groceries.
